Job description

Purpose of the Job

To provide superior quality Treasury & Investment related products & services to clients (especially) corporate clients. Coordinate with other members of the sales team, T&I, other departments and local & overseas branches/banks and major corporate clients.

Main Duties

– Work closely with the Head of Treasury & Investment Sales & Channel Management.
– Assist in providing corporate clients with superior service through increased client contact. Liaise with Corporate Finance, Trade Finance and branch managers to gather information about existing and prospective clients.
– Advice on FX and MM rates set by dealers in response to client inquiries.
– Identify the client’s interest rate and FX exposures and provides quality advice and markets treasury products available to hedge those exposures.
– Ensure that the team makes a minimum number of visits per month and that suitable products are being marketed by the team.
– Maximize the profitability and turnover of corporate sales desk, while ensuring a high level of service.
– Contribute towards increasing volumes by a certain percentage each year, maximizing the Treasury profits.
– Assist in providing high quality of daily, weekly and quarterly market research to major clients of the bank.
– Contribute to the daily market commentary and market update. Updates clients regularly on latest financial market movements.
– Assist in conducting seminars and workshops on Treasury products and value added services and market the same.
– Submit periodic management reports as and when required.
– Co-ordinates in fixing meetings with clients, follow up on call reports, pending appointments etc…

Desired Skills and Experience

– University Degree/post Graduate in Finance or related subjects
– 5 years’ experience in Treasury (dealing room and sales & marketing)
– Good interpersonal and communication skills
– Knowledge of financial markets, products & Services
Computer literacy
– Knowledge and experience in selling derivatives eg. IRS and FX option
